Itinerary

Day 1

We meet at our tour hotel in Marrakesh for a trip briefing and welcome dinner. If you're arriving today, we'll pick you up from the airport.

Day 2

We transfer south from Marrakesh to the Agafay Desert, a rocky, barren landscape. After warming up, we climb 10 km to the Plateau de Kik, then descend into the lush Ouirgane Valley. The day ends with a traditional Moroccan-style stay in the countryside.

Day 3

We transfer 1.5 hours, then tackle a 20 km climb to the Tizi n’Test Pass, reaching 2,100 metres along one of Morocco’s highest paved roads. The ascent offers panoramic views, followed by an exhilarating descent to Ouled Berhil.

Day 4

We start with a two-hour transfer to the Anti-Atlas Mountains, then ride nearly 100 km through rocky desert terrain, with challenging climbs along the way. A crowning descent brings us to Tafraout, a picturesque oasis town surrounded by granite rock formations and rich in Berber culture.

Day 5

We ride from Tafraout into the heart of the Anti-Atlas, climbing to a mountain pass before descending into the lush Ait Mansour Gorge. You can return by bike or transfer to Tafraout for a second night.

Day 6

We’ll leave Tafraout and transition from rugged rock massifs to almond grove-covered foothills on a tough century ride with lots of ups and downs. After the ride we transfer to Agadir, where we’re greeted by our first view of the Atlantic Coast.

Day 7

We leave Agadir and climb steadily through rolling hills and the lush Paradise Valley, ascending from sea level to over 1,000 metres. The day ends in the highland village of Imouzzer.

Day 8

After a fast 16 km descent through the Western High Atlas foothills, we tackle two climbs before riding through shrublands filled with argan trees. After a final descent to the coast we transfer to Essaouira, known for its historic medina, bustling port, and breezy coastline.

Day 9

We ride south from Essaouira through a windswept, semi-arid landscape before looping back after a short inland climb. In the afternoon, explore the city’s medina, souks, seafood markets, and ramparts before our farewell dinner.

Day 10

We transfer back to Marrakesh for a final lunch and farewell, with time in the afternoon for exploring or last-minute shopping.

Day 11

Transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) for your return flight or onward journey.

Reviews

I enjoyed the Morocco road ride "Atlas to Atlantic" very much. It was a fascinating way to experience this beautiful country. The route was enjoyable with mostly good road surfaces. A challenging ride that rewarded around every bend in the road.

Just completed the Morocco: Atlas To Atlantic trip. Challenging cycling elevation, great mountain views, wonderful and welcoming local people. The guides had a great sense of history of the area and wonderful stories. We were there at the last part of Ramadan and was able experience that which I greatly enjoyed. Awesome, I repeat, awesome Moroccan food and culture.
