Home to hundreds of thousands of archaeological sites from the Citadel in Amman, Shobak Castle and the iconic ancient civilization of Petra Jordan won't cease to amaze. Sharing the road with doe-eyed camels, meals with weather-beaten Bedouins as well as desert camping will make this an experience like no other.

From the lowest place on earth with the blue Dead Sea, to lush green gorges, to an endless expanse of red sands punctuated by towering rocks that look as if they’ve plunged down to earth, Jordan is a rich tapestry of landscapes that will beguile.

Jordan was such an unexpected surprise to experience and my only regret was not being able to spend more time there to see more of what this small country had to offer.
