SpiceRoads has designed and supported cycling tours ranging from half a day side-trips to 39-day multi-country expeditions. The experts in designing cycling tours, we’ll take your inspiration and develop it into a fully-formed adventure for you and your group.
From private family holidays, to road cycling club trips, to charity challenge rides, to corporate retreats. Rugged mountain biking expeditions, leg-testing road randonnees, luxury cycling and relaxation holidays, or multi-activity trips to entertain younger riders. How smart would it look to have a team jersey with your logo, date of the event and team name! At SpiceRoads we will design the jersey for you and make sure they are ready for you at the start of the tour. We can also produce t-shirts or other apparel on request. Prices vary depending on fabric quality and design.
We can also create a personalized tour page for you, here is an example of a page we developed for the charity group Tour of Hope.
As a cycling company, we know that bikes are the cornerstone of a good tour experience. SpiceRoads uses well-known makes of mountain, hybrid, and road bikes in our tours. To provide a more inclusive experience for families, we can also provide baby-seats, tag-alongs, and child-sized bikes in Thailand. Gators (poles which attach child bikes to adult bikes) can also be hired in Chiang Mai. Electric bikes are available in select destinations. Read more about our bikes.
SpiceRoads tour leaders are expert leaders, local ambassadors, cyclists, and all-around fun people to spend time with on your holiday. All SpiceRoads tour leaders are local and English-speaking.
In countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia and Madagascar–French is also spoken. We can also provide a translator on a tour on request.
The health and safety of all riders is tantamount on SpiceRoads tours. All tour leaders receive regular first aid certification training, along with annual skills assessment and training to ensure they’re at the forefront of industry standards for adventure tour guiding.
For almost all destinations, we provide public liability insurance for all operations. SpiceRoads is a licensed tour operator, and offers basic travel accident insurance for all short tours in Thailand as a standard. We can also provide additional Health and Safety documentation for your tour on request, such as: Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessment, and Emergency Evacuation Plans.
SpiceRoads requires all riders to provide proof of adequate travel insurance before joining our tours. There are inherent risks involved in cycling and mountain biking, and SpiceRoads can’t be held liable for any medical or evacuation expenses in the event of an accident.
Lastly, SpiceRoads practices responsible and sustainable tourism, and constantly seek and refine the ways in which our business benefits both the local community and the environment in which we travel and run tours. We have signed a pledge with World Animal Protection (WAP), maintaining our commitment to protect local animal welfare and wildlife, meaning we will not promote or be affiliated with venues and organizations offering elephant rides or animal shows.

Though our team works to deliver your itinerary as soon as possible, depending on the length of the itinerary and the amount of customization required, some itineraries can take longer to build than others.
We’ll work to your allocated budget, but be aware that tour costs vary depending on your desired location, itinerary, and inclusions.
SpiceRoads believes in sharing the experience of seeing the world by bike with everyone, including children! Tour itineraries can include specifications and modifications for children 8 years of age or younger, with required adult supervision. Unlike on scheduled cycling trips, children do not incur reduced tour rates on SpiceRoads custom tours- the total cost of the group trip is divided by the number of riders.
